4th Grade News August 9th & 10th and Week 1 Important Dates:
The yellow information card from the office is due as soon as possible. Thank you.
Please complete all of the beginning of the year required paperwork and send it back to school no later than Thursday, August 16th. Thank you.

Homework is graded in 4th grade.
Planners: Remember, planners must be signed every night. This is considered a homework assignment. Parents:Please remember to always wear your ID badge while on campus. School policy states that parents must have an ID badge in order to pick up their child. Students: Welcome to 4th grade. Remember to study your math facts. Also, make sure you are following the school dress code. Bring a water bottle to school (NO GLASS BOTTLES). Spalding/Spelling: Students are expected to use neat Spalding handwriting in all subjects. We will begin the school year by entering rule pages in our Spalding notebooks. Reading: We are practicing our reading skills. Language/Grammar: We will be learning about the parts of a sentence and sentence types. Math: Students need to know their math facts. We require students to complete 100 math problems in division, multiplication, subtraction, and addition in 3 minutes. We will start the year by reviewing basic math skills. Science: We are studying the section about animal classification. History: We study several subjects in history. This year we will learn about maps, mountains, the Middle Ages, and the state of Arizona. We will start this school year by studying the state of Arizona. FYI - August 9th and 10th will not be counted as week 1 in the 4th grade newsletters. We will call August 13th the start of week 1 when writing newsletters. Student grades are accessible through your family link account. Family link information will be sent home soon. Once you receive this information, please keep your information in an easy to find location & check your student’s grades regularly. Remember, progress reports are not printed. You will need your family link information to view progress reports.
